Hacking About Shop Channel ...

ok , in anticipation for the upcoming release of MH3 , i was wondering if purchases from Japanese Shop channel on a non Japanese Wii still work (4.0+)
I've searched and read about the different methods but they are confusing , no clear answer

I have a Pal Wii , latest BootMii/Preloader , System Menu 4.0E
is it possible for me to convert it to Japanese and maintain full functionality ?
because technically we could buy the MH3 points from the japanese Store , unless Capcom decides to do a MHF-PC and region lock IP's *i seriously hope not*

like i said , if someone could point me in the right direction , i plan on upgrading to 4.1 , should i upgrade to 4.1J directly ? or just use region changing ?
what are the downsides ...etc.

any help/info is welcome (i wanna make the best out of my soon-to-have e-Capcom Edition hehe)

I remember have read somewhere that if you change your WiiShop from region, you cannot changed it back (using homebrew tools), but this can be only a rumour...!!

yeah i read that bit about being stuck in a region
i don't mind actualy
as long as it turns my wii into a jap wii i'll be happy
saves me the trouble and *itch* to buy a second wii

hmm you know come to think of it i feel a little idiotic now , i don't think the MH3 points will be on the shop will they ?
the game will probably just use your Wii points in the store account i presume ala in-game shop

You can change back to the US/EU firmware if you like as it will won't have any affect on the Shop Account.
