Well I recently put a new game on my 3ds, and I notice that there is an option in fbi to Install the cia and then delete the cia file off my sd card, I don't understand what that is for. I always just install and leave the file on my storage. So I figured that the .cia file I put onto my sd card is what the installed game needs to read to play it. What happens if I installed and delete the.cia file? I don't understand why this option is even there in the first place

Once the game is installed, you no longer need the .cia file. The game does not need the .cia for anything, and in fact, keeping the .cia file is a complete waste of space (keeps 2 copies of the game).
