So last night I installed a9LH and installed Aureinand over Reinand. When I installed it I originally kept my 10.7 emuNAND and 9.2 sysNAND with unlinked nands. I wanted a9lh because I read about not having to install GBA games on both sysNAND and emuNAND. Everything was fine, then I tried to install a CIA version of Pokemon Leaf Green on emuNAND. I made sure to install patched AGB_FIRM onto my sysNAND, but when I load the game I get an "An error has occurred... turn off your 3DS." So I went into sysNAND and installed the CIA of Leaf Green there as well. I was then able to boot into Leaf Green through emuNAND, but the same error occurred when trying to boot the game through sysNAND.

I decided I was going to remove the emuNAND partition and only use sysNAND with a9lh. Long story short, I flashed my emuNAND over to my sysNAND and accidentally removed a9lh in the process... I recovered though! I had to downgrade 10.7 sysNAND to 9.2 and then I restored my 9.2 sysNAND backup using Decrypt9 just to be safe. I then reinstalled a9lh with the same 9.2 sysNAND, renamed nand.bin on the SD card, back up with no emuNAND. I then injected FBI through health and safety, set up HBL, and updated a9lh sysNAND to 10.7. I installed the AGB_FIRM once more and installed Leaf Green again! I still have the same problem though. When I load the game, I get , "An error has occurred..." Any ideas how I can get this working? The main reason I installed a9lh was for the improved GBA installations. For clarification, I no longer have an emuNAND partition and am only working with a a9lh 10.7 sysNAND.

    Isn't a patched agb_frm required?

I did patch it through sysNAND both times as stated in the original post.

Yep, without it, GBA games don't work

it's already been patched. I installed the patch through FBI to sysNAND destination.

Haven't tried others yet, but the Leaf Green was working on emuNAND with the game installed to both emuNAND and sysNAND prior to the deletion of my emuNAND. I'm using the same CIA install file for Leaf Green so I don't think it would make a difference.

Does anyone think/know if installing NTR CFW 3.2 on sysNAND might help this?

So while waiting for a reply, I decided to patch agb_firm and install a different GBA title and same problem. I don't understand because numerous people were reporting that:

    A) You could just use sysNAND with a9lh to boot GBA games.

    B) If you did have an emuNAND, you would NOT have to install the game on both sysNAND and emuNAND.

Both of these, in my experience with a9lh, turned out to be untrue. Am i missing something???

Maybe you have to format the system.

Should I use tiny format or is it safe to do a format under system settings?

    B) People are moving their Emunand over to Sysnand so thats why it works

So can I just use my latest emuNAND backup, rename it NAND.bin, and reinstall a9lh using that file?

the way you do it is Dump CTRemuNAND and inject it to SySnand with decrypt9

then make a file called updatedsysnand in the aureinand folder and it will autoboot to sysnand

Yeah i realized i messed up along the way by not dumping that. So I am in the process of doing it properly. Thanks for your reply, it made me realize my oversight and to check the guide I was following again. I never copied the emuNAND data to sysNAND.
I just restored my 9.2 sysNAND. Now i'm restoring the emuNAND partition... I'll let you know once i'm finished!

So I just finished restoring everything... same problem though. An error has occured. I'm stumped... I tried with and without agb_firm patched. Everything else is working fine. I followed this guide https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/OTP-Info

Did you inject your emunand to sysNand w/ patched AGB_Firm?
