i want to go from a9lh to b9s

my 3ds is on 11.0.0-33u

Do i have to update to the latest version on a9lh first before i upgrade to b9s or can i just upgrade it from 11.0.0-33u a9lh following this guide:

If you aren't already on v7.0.5, upgrade to it first. Then you can follow the guide that you linked to upgrade to b9s. You don't have to update your system firmware for the process.
