A Minecraft player named Sammyuri made a real CPU in Minecraft, named Chungus 2. While 1 Hz of power may seem minuscule by today’s standards, but take note this was made in stock Minecraft, no mods at all. You can even write programs for it to run, in his video was showcased versions of Tetris, Centipede, and more, all in Minecraft…

how? like, I don't understand how you would be able to make a emulator or cpu with just redstone blocks etc?
The same way you do it irl? Redstone allows you to make logic circuits.

Though more seriously if you want terms to look up then see how logic gates (also do Boolean logic if you have not already) are built from transistors

The idea of Turing complete

It might not mean as much at first but it will probably be what the people were thinking through when they did it.

Also everything is adding* when it comes to a CPU so learn how to make an adding machine, possibly also a shift register if none of the previous things covered that. https://www.101computing.net/from-transistors-to-micro-processors/ https://www.101computing.net/binary-additions-using-logic-gates/ look like a reasonable start.

*adding is adding, multiplication is just a long form of adding (3x9 = 3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3 ), subtraction is adding if you look up ones and twos complement, division is a bit harder until you get to logarithms (log a/b = log a - log b)

someone was able to make a calculator, I think it was, in mario maker (forgot which version, but I assume the first one). quite impressive.

Somebody made a fully functional Pokemon Red inside Minecraft a while back that actually ran at decent speed so emulating a CPU at 1 Hz is a lot less impressive than it could have been if it had come out before that.

All processors at their core are made up of a lot of transistors that are arranged to perform different functions. Redstone was designed to work the same way as basic electronic components like transistors, so it's actually easier than you think. The only limit to the complexity of what you can make with redstone is space, you can only have so many chunks loaded into memory and processing events at the same time before you run out of memory or processing power, because it's extremely inefficient. But essentially redstone works the same way as a microcontroller, only on a whole other scale, a microcontroller is on a microscopic scale (hence the name) and a single block in minecraft is 1 meter squared so needless to say creating any kind of processor in minecraft requires a massive maze like construction, that you would never be able to build by hand, at least not without planning out the entire construction ahead of time and using every tool at your disposal to make the job easier.

i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
