Hacking A question about flash carts and a Euro DSi

Hey there!

Well I live in the UK and within a month I will be getting a DSi. By getting a DS again, I will also get a DSi flashcart. My question is: which one? I've done some searching in this site and there are results that say the AK2i (preferred) doesn't work on Euro DSi and some sources say that it DOES work because of the latest firmware.

I just want to confirm. Any European DSi owners out there that use a working flash cart using the latest firmware? Please help me out.

Also, are updates mandatory? For example if you want to play Mario Kart DS using a flash cart and connect to Wi-Fi, will it allow you or will it ask you to update before you can play?

I think the ak2i should work fine on a eropean dsi, although i could be wrong. I have an ak2i and it works fine on my brothers US dsi. You only need to update your dsi if you want to go to the dsi store. I reccomend the acekard 2i.

The Acekard 2i ALWAYS worked on a european DSi, the problem was only if you selected a language other than english.

This has now been resolved with the latest update - this also proved that the Kernal not just the firmware could be updated - its a good choice
