Hacking A nice neat hardware mod to expose the NAND-flashing pins for N3DS XL?

I've seen a few PCB mods, but I wondered if anyone had done a slick hardware mod where the wires are terminated to a MicroUSB port that is situated where the lanyard-attachment holes are? I think I saw that for an earlier model once and it looked good. In that mod they had used the rectangular MicroUSB.

I don't need this, I'm just curious. I'm not so keen on the ones that put a port on the corner.

yeah there is no lanyard holes on the n3ds, so wherever you put it you need to have a hole, unless you use ffc cables through the battery cover or something and have the port on the SD card instead

I saw one where the port was hidden under the back plate.

A little inconvenient as it would require a screwdriver to access, but I'd rather that than a visible port.
