A message from Hideo Kojima

I would like to offer my deepest thoughts and my sincerest condolences for the many victims and many who lost their lives in the March 11, 2011 earthquake that struck the Tohoku region near the Pacific coast of Japan.

Our job is providing everyone with cheer and bringing encouragement to people around the world through the medium of entertainment and that is exactly the type of support that we can provide.

We are indeed facing an unprecedented situation that we have not experienced before. However, we should not abandon hope but look forward to the future and unite to restore Japan for the sake of the next generation.

May smiles return once again to the region struck by the disaster, to Japan, to our future, and to ourselves as well.

Lastly, I would like to share a line from Snake from MGS1.

I personally find this heart-warming. It's nice to see how everyone in Japan is trying to keep their spirits high in their time of crisis.
I hope everyone gets back on their feet as fast as possible.

Also, I really really REALLY want a high quality version of that Boktai art!

Man, Kojima-san is a classy guy. And quoting his own creation in time of duress is fantastic. But he does his a point.
