I have a xbox phat with hitachi drive mounting lt+ 1.92, i was wondering (if it's already know) if updating to the new dashboard will reset my drive to stock and flag me for a ban. If the update doesn't reset to stock my drive, it is safe to update from live or it's better to update from usb to not risk a ban?

Your best bet is to flash your drive back to stock, update dash, and then flash your drive to the new LT+2.0 that was just recently released for Hitachi's.

Doing this will ensure your as safe as you can be.

Always flash back to stock is safer then not flashing back to stock.
Even if it is a minor dash update.
    Better safe then sorry imho.
