    Hi again everyone.
I have read some more about the update and apps info.
I need help to not destroy a second wii!
    Im afraid to do so.

I have just updated to 4.1E Using this guide http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=144835

I´m about to do step 12) Using Dop-IOS install IOS60 v6174 with Sig Hash Check.

This will install IOS60 v6174 with Signature hash check.

But when shall I install the dangerous cIOS60 and whats gonna happen, & what shall I do?
    Will it semi brick?

I want it to keep trucha signer.

Last time I softmoded the other wii today I could move pirate installed VC games to SD & play them & I dont think cIOS60 was needed.

But I want have everything incl trucha installed, but only if it works safetly.

No need for cIOS60 unless you plan on using backups from the disc channel. That step 12 will let you move pirate VC to SD and play.

BTW, if you can, install bootmii as boot2 if you can before you do it. Best anti-brick around.

Shall I install cIOS60 now, or after step 12?
As long as it is before preloader I guess.
    Should I skip preloader?

Boot mii boot2 works great on this wii.

how many threads do you want to make today?

do some research, find out what the hell you are actually doing.

otherwise, stop messing around with wii's, otherwise you are going to brick another one.

If you want to play backup discs from the channel, skip step 12 and install the cIOS60 wad instead. (you need the whole cIOSCORP for games to actually work). If you just want to put pirate wiiware/VC on SD menu, do step 12 and forget about cIOS60 all together.

Since you have bootmii as boot2, i'd personally skip preloader and just use startpatch instead for the menu hacks. If you want to use preloader anyway, install it last.

@0M39A: Did you read that he has Bootmii as Boot2? If so, why are you worried about him bricking it? That's almost impossible, even if he uninstalls the system menu...

Yeah you have to make a nand dump. He could try a disc from 4.0 with SaveMiifrii because it won't have IOS60 and therefore would likely cause an update, but its still not safe.

    HBC/DVDX/BootMii:
    1) Load Bannerbomb => Load Hackmii Installer.
    2) Follow instructions on screen => Install HBC & DVDX & BootMii (If possible both Boot2 and IOS)
    3) ... profit!

Preloader and cIOS249 of Waninkoko install:
    1) Install Preloader 0.29
    2) Launch HBC, run TBR, downgrade IOS15, patch IOS36, Restor IOS15.
    3) Install cIOS249 of Waninkoko, using IOS36.
    4) ... profit!

Installing system menu 4.1 and Preloader re install:
    1) Run WAD Manager
    2) Install IOSs: 16 + 60 + 61 WADs
    3) Install System Menu 4.1 WAD
    4) Install Preloader 0.29
    5) ... profit!

Softmod (You need cIOS249 of Waninkoko installed. (read above.):
    1) Just have a reloader/rebooter with hooks. (Neogamma is the best I guess..)
    2) Load it trough a Custom channel / HBC.
    3) ... Profit!

    A TBR guide eventually:

Using DVDX to watch DVD's get a Mplayer app.
Load Roms from a DVD using a Emulator that supports it.

    Done...

Edited. Installing preloader then a system menu over it right after it to remove it is kinda worthless.

If you have a boot2 replacement, use Startpatch, you don't need preloader. Preloader is great though if that isn't the case.

Um...you don't need a NAND dump to unbrick a wii with bootmii boot2. Someone I know literally uninstalled cIOSCORP. He had boot2, no dump. Used Cboot2 to reinstall HBC, its IOS, and a cIOS wad, then booted to HBC with bootmii and used wad manager to reinstall the remaining IOSes.

NOTE: reinstalling a missing system menu will not unbrick your wii. There are additional steps that need to be done to restore things like settings.txt or the menu will not boot.

    Nah,
I think if you mess with TBR, Preloader is your only hope if something goes wrong. (for LU64+ Wiis)

But thanks for adding it to the system menu update installing part.

    Final version (v3):

    HBC/DVDX/BootMii:
    1) Load Bannerbomb => Load Hackmii Installer.
    2) Follow instructions on screen => Install HBC & DVDX & BootMii (If possible both Boot2 and IOS)
    3) ... profit!

Preloader and cIOS249 of Waninkoko install:
    1) Install Preloader 0.29
    2) Launch HBC, run TBR, downgrade IOS15, patch IOS36, Restor IOS15.
    3) Install cIOS249 of Waninkoko, using IOS36.
    4) ... profit!

Installing system menu 4.1 and Preloader re install:
    1) Run WAD Manager
    2) Install IOSs: 16 + 60 + 61 WADs
    3) Install System Menu 4.1 WAD
    4) Install Preloader 0.29
    5) ... profit!

Softmod (You need cIOS249 of Waninkoko installed. (read above.):
    1) Just have a reloader/rebooter with hooks. (Neogamma is the best I guess..)
    2) Load it trough a Custom channel / HBC.
