Hacking a guide to softmod a LU64+

A search turned up un-updated posts. I'm looking for a decent detailed guide as i'm modding a friends wii. I have already installed HBC using bannerbomb. It's on system menu 3.4u. Also bootmii said i could only install it as an ios so i assume i can't install it as boot2 and its most likely what they call a LU64+ wii right?

A LU64+ Wii is just a Wii with a serial number greater than LU64xxxxx. I only know of 2 decent guides, and both warn you before starting not to try it if your Wii is LU64+

I'm in the same boat as LxTrix. My wife's friend with an LU64/4.0U Wii wants a USB loader for playing backups. Are you saying this isn't possible?

Yea if anyone can point us to a guide that would be great. A search led to a dead end. I think a guide or list of guides for lu64 wii's should be stickied as this is definately becoming an issue.
