Hacking A few games don't work with USB loaders

Forgive me if I should have posted this in Game Help, Hints and Tips.
I can't get COD3 or Madden 08 to play from the HDD. I have made the ISO images myself. Used isopatcher to convert to ISO 249. If I burn the image to DVD, it will play when launched with WiiGators Gamma 0.3. But if I load the image to my Wii HDD, it will either black screen, or lock up. I have tried this with both coverflow and Waninkoko's 1.5.
What am I doing wrong?

are you sure you are talking about COD3 ??? I thought that games patched to IOS249 wouldnt work with the USB launcher (but works with gamma) ... havent tried it myself yet

are you sure you are talking about COD3 ??? I thought that games patched to IOS249 wouldnt work with the USB launcher (but works with gamma) ... havent tried it myself yet

USB Loader GX did not run the game either. I still have the un-patched original. Haven't had time to load that on the HDD yet. I'll let you know.

Considering that you have just said that you have loaded it with the backup launcher on the disk, just continue to use that.

No, I couldn't get it to work the way I wanted it to ( with coverflow), but these guys have figured a way to get the games to work. Check out: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=160710 and http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=161988. They got them to work with Usbloader_GX.

For what it's worth, it's well known that Madden '08 doesn't work. Check the computability list for others that might give you trouble: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/USB...e_Compatibility
