I came back from the insanity that was ubuntu. I nearly destroyed my family computer with it, and got into a fist fight with my father when he wanted to use the computer. One operating system for one day destroyed a father-son relationship that took 18 years to build. I've never been so incompetent in an OS before, not even the OSX. [IMG] Well, I guess it was a better start then the time I first got into Windows XP. [IMG]

What were your problems? I find Ubuntu really easy to use.

I've tried to install the nvidia drivers, after restarting, the thing went blank and went into something similar to DOS and I've spent about 2 hours trying to get it back to where it was. I've finally found out the xserver was configured incorrectly. After getting back in the game with nvidia drivers, the chess game the came with ubuntu still doesn't work in 3D... I'm still working on that.

Also what is the best PSX emulator on linux? Like one that supports hardware acceleration like epsxe on windows? Thanks in advance.

A little tip, you don't have to restart the whole computer after editing X, just hit ctrl+alt+backspace.

a little tool called hwd will auto-configure X for you, it won't configure drivers but it will at least give you a working display.
