I just joined the GBA scene,
and boy was this exactly what I was looking for.
Being sick to death on 3d games I looked at the gba scene and behold everything is good old handdrawn 2d games.Best of all it has great RPG'S and many games have than "manga cut scene/talk scene" effect.
I could have shelfed an extra buck and easly have gotten a PSP but no way would I pass on a console tat has 3 2d side scrolling castelvania's.
Aside form all that GBA SP has the optimum portable size,is ligtweight, backlit and flash cards make it play mp3's,emulates other consoles, plays movies hell it even has old SIERRA games on it.
and from what I have noticed the game well for GBA has not dried yet. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

NOW if only Turbo xs would make a car tuner for mustangs then I would die happily.

hehe welcome, I'm sick of the attitude: "oh no it's 2D, bad graphics and prolly a kiddy game..." you'd be suprised how much people think like that...

I just tried GEkido:kinataro and it's a full on manga beat em up game.
Mario&luigi:superstar saga is an excellent RPG game
    2 metroids,3 megamans,3 castlevania,2 kirbies.

I have had friends telling me :why didn't you get a psp or that it's childish.
well as 25 y/o company owner I am very happy to say that we have a console that is full of MANGA-style games.

Me dreams of updated metal gear.

oh yep, mario & luigi has this unique style of 'nintendo humour'. i really enjoyed it. the two golden suns were great too!

for me the gba rules because i always wanted to have a snes back in the days when it was released. but my parents always said (and prolly will always say [IMG] ) all consoles are for childs. no discussion. the gba has those 2d style games that were on snes and even better ones. powered by pogoshell and all those great emulators it's retro playing at it's best. i never thought of such things when i bought my first gba... edit: fixed typo ...

Another good example is Fire Emblem. Lovely still artwork style but has that still manga characters sliding in and only their lips moving when talking which I didn't like. The Gamecube version also has this from what I seen and I'm parying that the next Fire Emblem game for the next gen console will have an anime cutscene (I doubt it).
