For some reason that site reminds me of how cool Burning Man wasn't.

[IMG] There is nothing wrong with a bit of Wolfmother... who are from AUSTRALIA.

    And British indie rock owns.

    Damn tooting!

The music scene in Britain is great right now, less samey formalatic r n b and rap and more varied rock n roll, I like rap but the only decent hip hop right now is Nas. Oh and I'll take a million Wolfmother bands if it gets rid of that Mika fucker!

The music was good... but the bands were terrible [IMG]

The "decade of bad taste" is what the 80's are called...

I mean, Army of lovers, fer cryin' out loud [IMG]

And the clothes. 80's fashion/musix has been big in the uk for the past 3 or so years - getting huge in the past 12months.

Unfortunately most of the 80's wannabe bands are formulaic, playing 80's stylye by-the-numbers 80 pop. a few gems hidden amongst all the generic commercial pigshit though.. =]

There was some great bands though, Pixies, Smiths, New Order, Echo & the Bunnymen and many others a lot of these bands influenced and shaped the music that we have today and will have in the future.

Unfortunately its the shit stuff that people remember more.

Well, I said that the music was good. But the bands themselves were terrible. The outfits, the visual identity, the style, everything except for the music was terrible.

:/ apart from crust-punks, new-romantics and trad-goths (although at the time they were just goths rather than trads ;> ).. =]

EDIT : only the female goths too - as with now, male goths look totally ridiculous.. [IMG]
