If we set this up, can we update games thru the internet?

Or, do games still have to be manually updated via downloaded file?
this is blocking connections to Nintendo's servers. You can't update if you do this, but you don't WANT to connect to Nintendo's servers if you're hacking your Switch.

I'm interested in extending the 90DNS server for Sony servers also, as I found myself with access to a 11.00 PS4 (picrel), and Al Azif's server is no longer providing proper dns forwarding for non-donors.

I'll try and roll this out today on the same IP addresses and post an update, if there's any interest for me to not do this with good justification please let me know.

Official 90dns instances now support blocking playstation domains too. No promises that I covered everything, but it is currently blocking the following domains, which should match what Al Azif had (https://github.com/Al-Azif/dns-config-watchdog/blob/main/zones.json):

*.playstation.com
*.playstation.net
*.playstation.org
*.scea.com
*.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com
*.sie-rd.com
*.gs2.sonycoment.loris-e.llnwd.net
*.sonygst.s.llnwi.net
*.gs2.ww.prod.dl.playstation.net.edgesuite.net

I have a question. Maybe is a stupid question, but...
I got the MIG Switch and I always keep it offline, but people say that you can take it out and connect to internet to update the games (top risky, sounds bad, because all the N telemetry)

What about block the ip/host/pages of Nintendo through DNS, firewall or something on the WiFi router. I ask this because my console don't have the chip

If you use only YOUR OWN DUMPS (and no piracy) there is no ban risk connecting to the net, but if you use a downloaded XCI on a MIG, connecting to network is a sure ban

I'm talking about the second way. I don't care about the ban, but my primal question is if it's possible to get the updates blocking the telemetry from Nintendo?
If no, just fine. I don't like online games, but updates, why not?

(updates = games updates)
Because even without Internet, some games ask for get updated (probably when the console get updates (I installed the 19 before use the MIG), download one database of the games on the last version

Nope. In order to get updates you need an access to the Nintendo servers and, no, it's not possible to block Nintendo servers and still get game updates. At least, as far as I know.
There's a way to get updates on your console even if it gets banned and that's by matching the game version locally with another Switch (preferably modded one) that has that game on a higher version. It's a bit tedious process, but it works. DLCs are available only if they are already available on cartridge or already as a part of a game or an update.

Yep. I think I already know about that. Two console offline, and share the game to "get the same version", but the transfer is a bit slow... Anyway, I don't have other console

What about the chip? If I get the chip I can get game updates even with the MIG Switch or is the same thing, because the modded version is supposed to block all the connections with Nintendo

if you install the modchip, you don't really need MIG Switch to begin with for pirated content. You can run Atmosphere CFW and sys-patch and install games with DBI or TinWoo and you'll be good to go.

I mean, yeah, but you have to "install" the games. With the MIG is just touch and run,
Or cab the modded version read the xci? Anyway... I'm no thinking on install the mod (at least no soon, haha). And I found that if someone dump a new version of the physical game, is just redownload and get the game update or with DLC, but yep, only if the cartridge got if before

Fortunately, the games on Switch don't get launch broken, so... Is just a silly idea, just for wasting time, no something really important,
I got the idea, because some time before if you block some host on Windows basically you get the premium version, or remove the ads or almost anything without losing the ability of the normal work of the official app. Probably Nintendo has specials servers for updates and other for telemetry. Anyway, if isn't possible, isn't it
