Hacking 9.0 N3DS - Amiibo isn't working, what firmware do I need?

Super Smash says touch Amiibo to the screen but it doesn't do anything. Do I need a newer firmware? If so how and what do I update it with on emunand?

i think it was enabled on 9.2 or 3.

Amiibo support wasn't added to the n3ds until 9.2.

I have a N3DS on 9.2 and can confirm: there's not an amiibo menu there. But there is one in 9.4

I have one of the Ambassador Editions it came with 9.0 but when i updated it to 9.3 the amiibo Menü was added to the New Nintendo 3DS.

You also need SSB update 1.0.5 for Amiibo support in the game
