I remember hearing about an 8GB micro SD card on this site a while ago that was under $30. My dad's looking for some more memory for his G1, and I need to order something today. So can anybody link me up?

    Thanks

EDIT: Would you recommend this one: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.19040

You really shouldn't get no-name brands for MicroSD cards. You could get a good deal on a name brand Micro SDHC at newegg.com if you're willing to pay for shipping. However, if you're willing to risk the safety of the device for the cost, go right ahead.

    May I suggest this card:

    It's cheap, Class 6, 8 GB, and it's from a trusted brand.

Err, scratch that, this one is cheaper and free shipping to most states in America.

    Also Class 6 and 8GB.

Try to find a Kingston I haven't had bad luck with that brand. I have been hearing they sell genuine ones on dealextreme on this forum.

I'd also recommend newegg.com, I got my 8GB there for about 20 bucks, and I haven't had any problems with it.

The Futureshop and Best Buy retailers here are selling 4gb for $10 on boxing day. I plan to grab a few things from those shops. Can't wait 'ti lboxing day. [IMG] Is it higher the class, faster the card or vice versa?

    You'll want a higher class.

    Canada.

Higher class as in class 6 would outrun class 1? What's the highest class at the moment?

Yeah, the higher the number = the faster it is.

I believe class 6 is the highest, and there are only three classes- 2, 4, and 6.

The different classes only stands for the minimal guaranteed transfer rate in Mb/s.

Ah, awesome. Thanks for the input. I think class 4 is still good enough.
