    A few days ago, a site posted an article about the "7 Wii tricks Nintendo doesn't tell you" and I believe you read about the following;

    Code:
    5. Restore MP3 playback
    Speaking of the photo channel, you were probably narked to discover that last year's update to do it inexplicably removed MP3 soundtrack support, lumping us with AAC tracks only. Yeah thanks, Ninty. Fortunately, you can downgrade to the original version by heading to Wii Settings then Data Management, then selecting the Channels tab and choosing to delete the Photo Channel entirely. Don't worry, it won't disappear - instead, it'll revert to sweet old version 1.0, replete with MP3 support.

    So, could this be done? There is not any Photo Channel in the Channels tab. Is it fake? [IMG]

    It only works if your Wii didn't originally come with the mp3less Photo Channel.

    This will work if your wii came with photo channel 1.1.

    If you dont update your Wii to the latest version you can use AnyTitleDeleter. Remove the system channels, update with a Disc with an update from before the Photo channel 1.1 was released (I used Metroid Prime 3) then update with a newer game that has 3.3 or 3.2 (SSBB) or online (REMEMBER, ONLINE UPDATE IS THE WAD KILLER UPDATE, you can use it but from that moment you cannot use any wad installer)

    Then you have Mp3 playback on your Wii.

    Wait what wad killer update? I have the latest firmware version (well it was the latest until this just recent one came out) and I can still install wads. Were you referring to the recent one?

    I bought my WII last day of April 2008. I performed an update from Mario Kart WII and the 3.2e in May 2008. Since then I never perfomed any update again. I can't remember the version I had but I think it couldn't play mp3 from the day I bought it.
    So, is there any chance to bring it back? Thank you.

    Yes, I have Metroid. Will this prompt to update, again, despite the fact that I'm already using a newer update?

    Was it today? I thought it was a couple days ago. Although it makes sense for it to be today considering I'm only just hearing of it. Now that I tihnk of it I played Wii yesterday so it couldn't have been then.
