Yes, even though it's a waste (it will operate at regular class 10 speeds)

Of course you'll have to format it as FAT32 because Nintendo didn't implement FAT64 and all SDXC cards (over 32 GB) must be FAT64 according to the standard (which is created by an association of large big-name corporations including Microsoft)

Ok I think I will do so. You guys are definitely sure about the speed right? I mean would it change anything if the card was extreme or extreme pro?

The better cards may have a better controller that will have some influence on speed (as the interface with the outside world isn't the only element)...
but it's not worth the cost difference: the original card is a class 4 for that matter!
