Which is better for the psp go what should I use for it? 6.60 or 6.6?
Or 6.61 infinity or Pro?
Temp or permanent?
Any cons/pros/opinions

Update: ok so I think my psp go is too new for 6.20 (around 6.39 ish) it's on 6.60 currently and what about 6.60 and the difference between 6.61? /and/or infinity

Update: ok so I think i understand now
-So 6.20 is out of the question.

-6.60 or 6.61 doesn't matter I'm told

-And infinity breaks a few things and is not very compatible with a lot of things..

So the FINAL QUESTION IS
Which should I go with
PRO C or (L)-ME?

There's 3 real options here: 6.2 Permanent, 6.6 Temp, or Infinity.
6.2 Perm apparently has problems on the Go, idk what they are though
6.6 Temp must be run every boot
Infinity breaks Pause (but you can use PSPStates anyways)

Personally, I use LME as apparently Pro C2 breaks PS1 related stuff. I've also never got 6.6 Temp Pro to work aside from once, but LME's worked every time.

Don't know about Go, but for 3004 I found the best is 6.60 Pro B9 (temporary because anything above g9 can't have permanent), as it has by far the best compatibility with all homebrews and especially custom themes and the many versions of popsloader, so I assume it should be the same for Go too.

- oh and ok what's LME? that sounds like a good option

I lied I was using pro-c fix 3. Again no issues that I saw.

exactly what is that so 6.61 or 6.60? and do you mean Pro-c2? Also what's the fix-3 part?

6.61 LITERALLY fixes just ONE game that the 6.60 doesn't support and that's all there is to it, nothing else between the version, just not worth it if you already have 6.60.

Oh sorry dude I didn't know, I'm relatively new to this(as you can probably tell) so I'm sorry if I'm asking dumb questions but like I literally don't know any of this stuff

It's alright, I don't think that game was even localized even, can't remember what it's name is though, but it is just the compatibility for one game, not worth it having to update all homebrews that may have gotten broken:P

6.60 Fast Recovery takes just about 5 seconds on every reboot. Not a big deal.
True. Also, if people do the smart thing and just put it in sleep mode instead of shutting down, it's not even needed more than once very rarely. I always just put mine in sleep mode and may only turn off completely once a month anyway, so 5 seconds is nothing.

I have a problem with pro c2 not starting some psx games like tomb raider, so I am wondering of pro c fix 3 will fix that problem?

Haven't used a PSP in ages, but from what I remember ALL that matters for PSx games is the popsloader so just try different versions until you get one that works for the game you are trying to play. Also, important to note is that the average converter can't bypass certain things that come natively with the popsloader which can cause issues, so you have to find eshop dumps for those (eg: Digimon World 3's random blackscreen freezes which happen on converted versions but not eshop one or GT1 which until the more recent poploader versions just blackscreened if it was a converted version).

You got a good chance of buying a used one and asking the seller how often they used or even ask for a Pic of fw and telling them not to update

Speaking of PLaystation. I see Evilnat put out a beta for PS3 CFW 4.91.2 on the 22nd.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Don't really see the point in updating it tbh
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right, I thought about updating my PS3 CFW to 4.91, but why really, everything plays fine now. I guess for people that have already updated past 4.9 it would be helpful.

Idk if online servers are still active that would be my only thought
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Thats true, personally I don't play it online at all, in fact, I deleted all wifi details on it once I installed CFW, so it won't connect and auto-update itself
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I play most games that are on both PS3/360 strickly on the 360, but PS3 exclusives are really only games I play on the PS3 (You know me, I'm more of a Xbox junkie)
