Another Sunday and another single game to be posted but as it is somewhat anticipated and I am off for the day I thought I might as well post it up now.

For those of you just joining us these posts are quick summaries and NFO files for 360 releases that contain English language in them and possibly the odd Japanese release if it is of note (very rare on the 360- the 360 is not big in Japan). Nobody has yet requested we change from this format but if you make a case for it we shall certainly look into it.
The posts themselves should have all the necessary info for you to sort things (if a scene release name is not enough you need better methods and we also include region notes) you may want more in which case <a href="http://www.abgx.net/filename/?ch=6" target="_blank">http://www.abgx.net/filename/?ch=6</a> has release names and a great deal of info for those new to this 360 business (while it is great for new games the back catalogue is where it shines).
The folks responsible for <a href="http://www.ludibria.com" target="_blank">http://www.ludibria.com</a> deserve a passing nod for some of the NFOs I use in these posts.

Most of you are probably aware already and it is covered in the various 360 FAQs but I include it here as well; 360 games can be region locked (the choice falls to the developers/publishers) and there is no real way to tell if one will be before it is dumped other than German area releases usually are.
Most people (namely those not rocking a homebrew enabled 360) will find region locking still exists on the 360 but there is no great worry unless you are sporting a Japanese 360 as game releases usually fall very close together region wise these days (usually within a week and this still usually means before street dates).
There now exists some new homebrew methods (provided you have not done the August 11th 2009 update or any subsequent ones you should be able to get homebrew or get it in the near future your xbox model depending) and there is talk of a region lock workaround or more accurately updating the existing workarounds.
There are two main options being considered:
    1) Flashing a different region code- unless you have a dual nand chip (one region on each) this is a fairly long winded process but it does work.
    2) A "rebooter" app- nothing has yet been tried with this newest iteration of the homebrew exploit (a much older incomplete version exists) but the general idea is to (soft) reboot into a custom kernel/similar which handily ignores things like region checking.
At present these are far from end user level though with the only thing approaching those realms being the compiled version for the Xenon- the first iteration of the 360.
The curious among you may want to read up with <a href="http://www.free60.org/wiki/Main_Page" target="_blank">http://www.free60.org/wiki/Main_Page</a> , <a href="http://www.eurasia.nu/wiki/index.php?pagename=Free60JtagHack" target="_blank">http://www.eurasia.nu/wiki/index.php?pagename=Free60JtagHack</a> and <a href="http://www.xboxhacker.net" target="_blank">http://www.xboxhacker.net</a> being the places to do it. Any discussion on those sites will be of a highly technical nature and a similar level of knowledge/ability is expected of you if you decide to join in.

In these threads street dates for the games will be mentioned if truly necessary although you can quite easily look it up and make your own decision- as far as we know playing games ahead of time does not affect things but these prerelease games can sometimes be bad dumps, dumps from non retail sources, bad packing of dumps and so on.
It is markedly difficult to verify a release against the retail copy without a retail copy in hand so verification data is a bit lacking prior to release dates. The tool AGBX360 is used to verify isos, directories and games burned to disc and can fix isos and directories if necessary but requires this data (a basic check using the data the game holds is still possible though).
Those who do not care about being banned from live or are willing to risk it then not much need to worry unless otherwise mentioned (as an example the first leaks of Halo 3 ODST were bad which meant while they would run a good chunk of gameplay was missing).

Looking at various release dates the October releases season does not officially kick off for a little while but once it does having others to help out and do these posts would be great, have a read on the recruitment thread for more

Nukes, no new nukes but in the last post I was concerned about Risen as it got delayed for a few months, I have since found it this delay was US only (the more US centric sites omitted this information) so business as usual with that game. My source <a href="http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/5560/risen-xbox-360-not-delayed-in-europe" target="_blank">http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/5560/...layed-in-europe</a>

    Nothing on the homebrew front.

There was only the one game released since last post so no less notable releases.

    ABGX360 ( <a href="http://abgx360.net/verified.php" target="_blank">http://abgx360.net/verified.php</a> ) added:
I suggest you use the link above and the abgx360 tool as the site does not split games by language/region as you might (it certainly does not use scene names) so the following list may look a bit odd.
ABGX added a PAL version of "UP" aka Oben.

    <!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Releases</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

Just the single release today but this was one of the games some people were waiting for so it gets a full post.

NTSC source- region free. Street date is 6th of October according to gamefaqs.

While maybe not quite as anticipated as some of the releases to come over the following weeks/months the recent Star Wars games have been fairly solid and I am sure some of you are running a bit low on new games right now. Based on the somewhat well liked cartoon network series this game allows you to play various missions as Jedi Knights and clone troopers (some missions related to the show while others are just set in the universe).

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Now you are all caught up on the 360 release<strike>s</strike>, the rest of the day will probably not see anything but experience shows never to expect this (Operation flashpoint and NBA 2K10 are set for the same street date as star wars stateside (we already saw the release of NBA live 10 the other day) and seeing a release more than a week ahead of time is far from unheard of).
Release dates can be found here: <a href="http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/" target="_blank">http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/</a> - you all know by now that street dates mean little in these circles). As ever these posts will be back as and when something happens.
