Hacking 4.2U Homebrew Channel wiimote problem with running cIOS

I have 4.2U and I used bannerbomb v2 to install bootmii, dvdx and HBC. They all worked successfully and I went to HBC but when I try to load an app, it begins to open but then the wiimote will not respond and I can't resync it. I have two wiimotes and both won't connect. I've tried Gamecube controllers as well but they do not work.
I've tried with rev14 and rev15.

What should I do/what did I do wrong?
Any help is appreciated.

did you follow the other steps of the guide you were following to reinstall a trucha patched IOS(36) and delete the stubbs and install a cIOS

what do you mean i just needed to install the hombrew channel and play my wii backup game
do you have a tuitoral on how to do al this on a wii softmod??

i go tthrough that bug already i dont know how but i did
but now i get error ret = -1
when tring to install cios?
i also get error ret= -2011
when insyalling any type of wad file any help plz??
