Hacking 4.1U question

I've been here a while and I should already know that nintendo updates are just there to stop homebrew but.........

Would it be safe to update and if so would there be new features?

I did update via nintendos server and all was working like before, although I had to reinstall some stuff...
Anyways the HBC was still there and up and working.

I dont know all of the 4.1 FW update but one really interesting is to play games from SD card.

Refer to this topic for a safe way to upgrade to 4.1 without downloading from Nintendo, it worked for me.

To clarify... 4.1 is as safe as 4.0 in terms of homebrew: it can be hacked. The only new non-homebrew-blocking feature is playing VC/WW games that are on your SD card.
