does using Waninkoko's firmware updater 4.0 really enable the use of trucha on the 4.0u?

does using kongsnutz method enable trucha on 4.0?

which one is better?

im at 3.2u and considering updating but i want to keep trucha and enable the sd transfers back and forth.

any knowledge of this?
