EDIT: My PSP was bricked updating! It got to 92%, and just said update failed FFFFFE.

    4.01 M33 was released today.
    Download (megaupload because dark-alex.org isn't working): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MQORH449, if you couldn't download 401.pbp, link: http://du01.psp.update.playstation.org/upd...b3fff/EBOOT.PBP
EDIT: I swear the other topics weren't here when I posted! [IMG]

I'd be careful updating using these files. (maybe it wasn't the files, maybe one of my flashes was corrupt or something..) I used them and while updating my PSP it got to 92% and just said Update Failed. I can't find my Pandora's Battery (edit:found) and have no way to write to my MS to make a MMS. If that would even work. [IMG] [IMG]

I have both very handy next to my keyboard. I'll post up if I end up with a semi-brick, too or if I'm successful. I wish you didn't live all the way up there in Ontario or I'd offer to unbrick your PSP for you (I'm in San Diego).

I just found my Pandora's battery, and was able to force my MSPD into a MSP slot. There is hope. Thanks for the offer though! [IMG]
EDIT: PSP is perfectly fine now. Woohoo!

SUCCESS! I even used a 1GB microSD in an adapter to update. No problems here (I downloaded the 4.01 Sony PSP update from the Sony site and renamed it to 401.PBP as stated in the M-33 readme for the update).

Ok, so just to be sure, this firmware also includes the updates that Sony released, right? Do you guys think it's worth updating?

Could someone clarify whether or not the we can update from 3.90 m33 using the update method via the psp itself. That is to say, you click on update opn the psp and it automatically downloads and installs the correct update. Hope that's clear, I think I@ve confused myself as well.

I believe the M33 team is abandoning the 1.50 kernel.

    Just a quick question,
When updating will it automatically create the new GAME folders, etc (for example GAME4XX)?

Sekhu, I could be wrong, but I read somewhere that you can't do the update automatically from the psp this time.

You can update through the PSP - It will even download the official firmware.
But somehow it screwed up my theme, so I went back to 3.90 M33-3
