Apple 3GS - How can I transfer photos & videos to PC?

A family member has photos on an old iPhone 3GS and she wants to transfer the photos and videos but iTunes isn't much help nor the other programs out there which claim to do the trick.

So what can I do exactly to get the files to the computer?

I tried drag & drop but the bastard won't do it at all. >_< Darn these Apple devices.

What kind of error? Did you try to import content as if it was a camera?

Last time both times I tried it was on a laptop (Compaq) but now it seems to be copying everything as I'm using a different computer (Dell - tower, not sure it makes whatever difference but still).

Just glad it's actually working now.

That laptop sure was the problem here. Good for you if that works.

It's easy to sync your photos through iTunes, but it doesn't give you quite the same amount of control as manually copying iphone photos to your PC.
