I have had a 3DS for around 6 months now and have started to notice some vertical lines on the left and right side of the top screen. They line right up with the raised plastic edges of the bottom screen and don't seem to rub off at all. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any way to remedy it?

Oh yea, most people with a 3ds have this problem, myself included. Really all you can do is prevent further scratching of your top screen with screen protectors on your top screen. You may be able to buff out those marks on the top screen with just a wet cleaning cloth. Dont use glass cleaner its bad for the screen. Ive gotten rid of my marks a few times but if you let it go on too long those lines wont go away :/

I use smartwipes to clean my screen every month or so and it still looks brand new so I would recomend them to keep your screen from scratches.

I put a microfiber cloth (like the one you get with your screen protector) over the touchscreen when I close mine, it avoid screens from touching each over.

I also have a screen protector so the scratches goes on the screen protector and I can get rid of them with the microfiber cloth.

That's because Nintendo rushed 3DS into market!
3DS has a lot of flaws, and this is one of the most problematic!

There are others like:
Bad Stylus Localization
Not having the 2nd analog
Small top screen
Start Select and Home in bad localization
there are much more, but I think that's enough to understand that it was released earlier than it should!

It's a problem with early 3DS's.

Once I got my 3DS "repaired", I didn't suffer from this anymore.

What happened with your 3DS?
Nothing. I lied to get another 1-year warranty.
Do you know if this 3DS you have now is really the same 3DS you had before?
It isn't. I had some major scuffs on the back and they're gone.
I'm guessing you were an Ambassador. Did your repaired 3DS have Ambassador status still?

The op is asking for a way to remedy this.Your post isnt helping in any way.
@op It's too late now but you HAVE to put screen protecs to avoid further damage.
