Hardware 3ds region lock?

so i heard the 3ds is region locked...and i have a question if i buy my 3ds games from the uk will they work on a europian 3ds??? i will buy it(the 3ds) from here(greece) which is a europian country.will the games work on it???

i think european games will and us and jp games won't work.

Yeah all european (if not,, most) Are PAL just like ur ds. NTSC-U and NTSC-J wont work
