Hey all, hope to get some help, thought I'd upgrade past a gateway card and use the Plailect/Guide.
I got as far as the following;
Completed the downgrade from 10.3 to 9.2.0
Completed the 2.1.0 ctrtransfer image
backed up the SysNAND
completed Section II - Installing arm9loaderhax
Everything above went through with no noticable glitches.
When in Section III - Configuring Luma3DS
Hold select on boot to enter the Luma3DS menu OK
Make sure to start holding the button before pressing power
If you get a black screen, follow this troubleshooting guide
If you boot to SafeA9LHInstaller, follow this troubleshooting guide
Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:
"Autoboot SysNAND" OK
"Show current NAND in System Settings" OK
"Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM" OK
If you are using a New 3DS, you should also enable the following:
Toggle "New 3DS CPU" to "Clock+L2(x)" for improved game performance OK
Press Start to save and reboot OK, but froze as soon as done
If it freezes, hold the power button until it shuts down, then continue with the instructions, OK done this and rebooted in Luma3DS several times to see if it would save and do something else but it froze everytime. Everytime I reloaded in Luma it had the settings saved, I tried deleting the config file which lost the saved settings and even when tried saving the settings again it still froze everytime.
For now, booting to a black screen or a message about firmware.bin is normal (Luma3DS cannot boot a 2.1.0 NAND), just continue with the instructionsOK so I continued on.
Section IV - Restoring the System
Open Hourglass9 from arm9loaderhax by holding Start on boot loaded blank screen, had to hold power button to shut down
Go to "SysNAND Backup/Restore..."
Select "SysNAND Restore"
Confirm and restore from NANDmin.bin
Now I could keep holding select to get into Luma, but I looked at the troubleshooting and saw
Try this test payload (mirror).
Rename /arm9loaderhax.bin, if it exists, to something else.
Place the arm9loaderhax.bin from the archive linked above in your SD root.
Insert your SD card into your 3DS and power on.
Press (A). Your 3DS should power off; this means arm9loaderhax is working and something else is broken; your device is not bricked. so pressing (A) on blank screen powered down so according to this something else is broken.
does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
