You have to downgrade to 9.2, install an emunand, then update the emunand to play newer games.

Hello, someone please help me. I am trying to figure out the smashbroshax. Using the helper thingy from herehttps://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-using-smashhax-with-linux.397194/ My SSB version is 1.0.1 , but there are only listed versions 1.0.0 and 1.0.2(and up). When I try to use the broadcasting it only crashes and does nothing else. Could someone please help me with this, or give me some advice..
I already tried searching google for manual update for SSB but found nothing. Also tried both the payload.bin files on 3ds card root and they did the same thing.
Are there any update files for SSB3ds stock 1.0.1 EU cartridge? Or am I boned for life because there is literally no way to make the exploitable game work?

Okay, stupid question here, but could someone please explain the process for installing GBA VC .CIAs so they work on emuNAND? From start to finish, assume I've not done a single bit of work toward it yet.

Okay, I have a patched AGB_FIRM in .CIA format. I put it on my microSD, booted *hax, ran minipasta to apply patches to sysNAND, let the console cycle back so I could then boot FBI. In FBI I installed the patched AGB_FIRM and then my desired .CIA format game. I then rebooted the console and started up my emuNAND. I used BigBlueMenu to install the game there. The game shows up, but every time I boot the game, I get a black screen and then an error message saying to hold down the power button to turn the console off.
Terribly sorry of this has been answered before, I haven't seen the answer on the pages I've read, but I am currently using a N3DS with a sysNAND of 9.2 and redNAND of 10.7 (with HBL already working on sysNAND of course), I have no intention of getting arm9 or any other further hack of my system, I'm able to go into 10.7 via CakesFW so i'm wondering, lets say if 10.8, 10.9, 11.0, ... 12.0 and so on is released in the future, would I be able to just go into CakesFW and launch 10.7, and keep updating to whatever is the new firmware? Would it still work forever no matter what firmware comes out or is it that the current CakesFW is only compatible with some official nintendo firmwares?

I start 3DS hacking since 9.2. What kind of thing can I do with an old 4.4 3DS (besides Gateway MSET-exploit)? Browserhax/menuhax won't work on 4.4.
When I played my original Pokémon Alpha Sapphire on it, my save file became corrupted. As soon I saw the message I turned it of. I already read that it has something to do with 9.2 encryption. If I play it again on my 9.2 unit, will I be able to start from my last point, or do I have to start over?

Also I miss my 9.2 spider browser (for AR codes). Will the 9.2 (timewrap) browser work on a 4.4 unit?

You could update to 9.2 via SysUpdater and Pasta/Mini Pasta or rxTools' Devmode/Pasta Mode.
Immensely excited! Just got my hands on a N3DS Pokemon 20th Anniversary system! Although, its on version 10.7.0. Any specification I would need to be aware of before proceeding a downgrade from this version?
Just that you need Cubic Ninja, Ocarina of Time or Smash Bros. to downgrade it (or a Sky3DS with one of the aforementioned games installed on it) if you didn't already know. Other than that, it should be the same.
In regards to EmuNANDs, can I, literally, copy one EmuNAND from one modded 3DS to another and expect it to work just fine?

Unfortunately, emuNANDs are console specific. The best thing to do is a system transfer from one 3DS's emuNAND to the other.
