I took your previous suggestions to heart and started looking for a way to set up AureiNAND; I was reading this guide and I wondered: would installing AureiNAND mean that my SKY3DS+ will, essentially, become useless?
Or does the cfw require a copy of Cubic Ninja (and ninjhax) anyway to work? It's not mentioned in the guide but I may have read something like that somewhere...

I'm asking mainly to know whether I can format the SD I'm using in my SKY3DS+ (and then sell the flashcard) and use it in my 3DS instead, if all the games can be put on the home screen.

Cfw basically makes all flashcards useless other than speed benefits. You only need Cubic Ninja to boot into homebrew to get into emuNAND, but you can easily use browserhax to install Menuhax to auto boot into emuNAND.

personally (and realistically) your sky will still hold value (as a copy of cubic ninja) the only problem is it will have no value to that system but if you (or one of your friends) ever get another system in the latest fw you can use cubic ninja to downgrade it (until nintendo blocks downgrading again)

I get it, it would be indeed prudent to own a copy (also seeing the prices of the original CN cartridge).
But wouldn't there be other ways to downgrade that don't include owning a copy of the game? I actually don't know, seeing as I used it to downgrade mine...
I'm just unsure seeing how I bought my Sky a week ago and it cost a pretty penny.

NTR has a plugin for N3DS users to utilize the processor.

About Firmware Spoofing...how does one do it exactly? Google has been no help in this department. I'll note that I'm using Reinand. I'll also note that I am very new to the world of 3DS Hacking, and I am using a New 3DS XL at 9.2 FW.

Why would you need to firmware spoof? You can just get CFW and be good to go.

I suppose because what I'm trying to do says "Required FW: 9.9" and I have 9.2. Also, the likes of Cake CFW and Pasta CFW won't boot properly for whatever reason. Just goes to a black screen, and I need to reboot. Is Reinand actually a CFW, or just a thing for loading Homebrew?

Well I still don't even know what you're attempting to do.

But you can use BrowserHax to load into Homebrew.

Homebrew and CFW are two completely different things (like CakesFW/ReiNand)

PastaCFW boots into Sysnand, but if that's not working then you probably did something wrong.

I want to say what I'm doing, believe me, but I'm kind of nervous to do so. I suppose as long as I'm not linking to anything, it's fine...I'm trying to install a .CIA file, and it reads that to run it, FW 9.9 is required. And yes, it's very likely I did something wrong along the way.

You must get cfw in order to use a9lh first, so you should follow either your video guide (not super recommended) or a written tutorial (I recommend this one for N3ds).

i just wanted to say thank you! i followed that guide and its all working without bugging anyone on here again!

i did have an issue with the latest emunand as it would only go to a black screen when i loaded it in homebrew. so i went to the next older version of github and it worked fine, also FBI also auto selects the install location, spent 20 minutes trying to press left button to change location of fbi install, only to read patch notes saying it auto selects where to install cia automatically lol.

Lol I'm glad it worked out for you. It's a pretty good guide. I'm not sure why the latest version of Aureinand didn't work, but it's fine I guess you're not missing a whole lot. Anyways if you have any more questions, PM me if you'd like.

NTR is a separate CFW that you have to boot alongside with whatever CFW you have. It comes in a cia file.

ARM9 Loader Hax. It has the fastest boot rate of any exploit, a 100% bootrate, and due to it being launched before sysNAND, you can restore NAND backups if you ever encounter a brick. It also negates the need for emuNAND due to it applying the CFW patches before sysNAND is launched. It's currently the best exploit method available for the 3DS.
