I've been looking at getting A9LH on my N3DS XL but I have a few questions regarding it.
1. If I follow the main guide step by step is there a large chance of bricking? (I know there's always a chance I just want to know how big of one I'll face)
2. Is there any hope of Nintendo patching it out in 10.8? I've thought about waiting until it's released to see if it does.
3. Is a redNAND required? I've already got an emuNAND set up with reiNAND so I don't feel like having to redo another NAND thingy.
4. What are the main precautions I should take before touching the guide?
5. Is setting up A9LH on a N3DS different from setting it up on a O3DS? (I tried with my 2DS but that things had so much done to it that I didn't even bother)

1. There's less than a 5% chance of bricking if you do it all right imo.
2. From what I hear, they can patch it, but it's highly, highly unlikely.
3. No. RedNand is not required.
4. Be able to read and follow instructions. Also have a lot of time and be awake.

Are there any services to unbrick my n3DS? I tried contacting hundshamer and vb_encryption_vb but they are not responding . I have no experience with soldering and I don't want to mess something up.

I am using mset rxtools on my O3DS without browser. I want to install FBI but when I press Y to install FBI (it says so in the menu) it tries to open secureinfo_a and secureinfo_b. How can I get these or is there another way to inject FBI with mset?

I found that too and I dumped my H&S but I cant get it to run the go.bat to output the inject-ready.app files.

I managed to get two files generated:
FBI_inject_with_banner.app and FBI_inject_no_banner.app

I put them on the root of my SD card and injected them with decrypt9 but when I try to open h&s it says an error has occured, save everything then reboot. What am I doing wrong?

One easy precaution:

It seems the two main ways to screw this up are 1) you doing something careless or improvising somewhere where you shouldn't, and 2) copy error.

You can minimize #2 by using Teracopy and have it test after every copy.

I downloaded the FBI cia from the github page. I booted pasta mode through the rxtools mset menu and then I could launch fbi. I dont know what went wrong. I am on sysnand though.

No I wanted it on sysnand. My version is 4.5 and I am using MSET because I have no browser (or CN or OoT) but I do have a DS flashcard. I want to install a sysupdater to update my sysnand to 9.2. Which updater though?

Thanks! I got the 9.2 update files from Plialects guide so now updating to 9.2!
