Just downgraded from 10.7 to 9.2 and my question is now what? Did this so I could use save editors on any game given how the ones that could be used on 10.7 didn't work on a couple. Anyone point me in the right direction?

That's a bad suggestion. FBI as a .3dsx is a really bad suggestion unless you like a lot of errors...

Does anybody know what firmware the Japanese New 3DS models ship with? This is for the regular model, not the LL. My aim is to set up an emunand and change the region from JPN to US, and I'd rather not have to bother with ninjhax or a flashcard on 10.7.

Install FBI.cia using FBI.3dsx

That can still cause errors. Injecting is the only sure fire way of doing it and the only one I'd recommend.

I really like Aureinand. But Reinand is good too if you like a minimal cfw that focuses on emuNAND more.

You're good but use this guide for cfw. The one you have is for n3ds.

Sorry if I added it too late but, am I able to put digital games that I backed up on a PC when the 3ds was on 10.7 back onto the SD card and be able to run them on 9.2?

Like Eshop games? You'd have to redownload those again afaik.

Did you back them up with a save manager?

No. The save managers I was using only worked on my physical cartridges, none of my digital games.

Then the saves for the digital games are gone unless you have them backed up which it sounds like you don't unfortunately.

As long as you have the "Nintendo 3DS" folder backed up and haven't formatted your NAND since backing it up, both your games and their saves are backed up fine.
