Two questions

1. do i have to have a 9.2 firmware or is anything below alright too?

2. When i buy an unopened N3DS with 9.0 software. Will the System update once i start the N3DS for the first time?

Also will the system update if a hard reset of the system was done?

You can either be onn 9.0 or 9.2 for the most full featured homebrew access.

No it may ask you to after you connect it but it won't force you to like the Wii U

Just a question: Are any of the files required on the SD card for A9LH to boot console-specific? Or is it just the installer? I'm thinking of setting it up on someone else's 3DS, and I want to feel safe in case something goes wrong with their SD card down the road.

Once you install it you should be good to go

So, I have a US region 3ds. I have rxTools and such all installed. My friends don't have cfw, but they have Triforce Heroes on a euro 3ds. I wanna play with them too, but Triforce Heroes is region locked online, is there a way to play with them? If I just install the euro Triforce Heroes version, can I then play with them?

I just tried upgrading to a larger SD card after completing Plailect's guide of having CFW in sysNAND booting with arm9. I was on a 32gb sd, I took it out and copied everything to a 64gb sd card (including payloads etc) but when I put this 64gb card in the 3DS will not boot. When I put the old 32gb card back in, it boots fine.

Is there a step I'm missing here?

I think it can't be formatted as exFAT to work with the 3ds

Best thing to do in that situation is use a partitioning program to straight copy the partition from the 32gb card to the 64gb card, then stetch the partition to make it use the full size of the new card.

is there any way at currently to play fire emblem fates on my blue button sky3ds? did some research and it seems like with the new AP system it will only work on the orange button with updated firmware. any chance with homebrew/hans/etc?
any hope at for someone with the blue button? i'm in the peace corps right now and i wouldn't be able to upgrade my cartridge for a while
