All right. So do you know a way to restore access to my games? I mean, I can reinstall them I guess, but that's not really ideal. I don't think I'd keep my saves, for one thing.

The more detailed explanation is once U back up Nand re-install homebrew (If it doesnt boot up)
then go to save data manager.
Once there make a backup of ur save then re-do setup for Aureinand then go to that iso site for the game you want in . cia form (U can use my acount for this) be careful its virus ridden. Then go towards a cia manager then install the game. Go to save manager then restore save file

All right, given my ordeals last night that sounds like too much effort. I'll just clear out the Nintendo 3DS folder, redownload the games, and deal with the cleared saves. Thanks though!

Okay, so lemme see if I can explain this properly.

First of all, been using Gateway 3DS since well before CFW even seemed to be a twinkle in smea's eye, so for me it was always install the DS sploit, go to the profile, and boot up the Gateway mode.

I was under the understanding that I could do something similar with rxtools, so I could finally play my GBA and DSiWare, albeit at the expense of not being able to access the Gateway Red card, which to me sounds like the equivalent of GW Classic Mode.

Anyway, I did find the files for rxtools 2.6, and I put the rxinstaller on my DStwo to run it from. I also put the rxtools.dat on the root of the 3DS's SD card. The installer seems to go off without a hitch, but when I go to launch it, it gets me to a menu with a bunch of options, but it refuses to launch the emunand at all. What the hell? what am I missing at this point?

I am pretty sure U could just use the gateway launcher to back up everything so Its not that hard

You could try restoring it to emunand, just make sure you have a backup of your sd first

Of course. And the process of installing emuNAND on top of my CFW would be the same as installing it on sysNAND?

Can I restore from any bricks as of now? And, is it completely inmune against updates?

Edit: Also, I heard you can get banned easily by using online features in games that are a different region from yours?

Edit 2: Also did I hear somewhere the New 3DS has some kind of issues with a 128gb microSD or is it fine?

Yes, the Data management in the System settings. Yeah i think its possible that you could get banned with out of Region cias if you use them online but I dont know exactly... for 128gb cards, I think they work but it could be that you have to Format them (to fat32?).

I am trying to search for parts online and its only the old lift zif connectors coming up, not the new push ones for the home and microphone on the new 3dses.

It doesn't matter if you have an updated Sysnand, since you'll always be booting into CFW with a9lh

From my admittedly limited understanding, yes. Assuming you don't mess with anything, you are protected from all updates that don't change the NATIVE_FIRM. So if you see an update, absolutely check here to see if it's safe before applying it. But NATIVE_FIRM updates are much rarer than other updates.

He didn't update in sysNAND, "updated sysNAND" mode is a way to copy your emuNAND to sysNAND, with added arm9loaderhax. It means you don't need emuNAND at all any more, and your sysNAND is permanently hacked unless a Nintendo update changes NATIVE_FIRM.

What does ntrcfw do I have it installed on rxtools sysnand

It has an ingame menu with plugin Support. You can use the plugins to overclock a N3DS and to cheat in games.
