What is the best save manager to use for cias? I wanna back up my FE Fates save so i can delete the game and play it later.

Getting the yellow screen on the 2DS (not at all on the 3DS. The 3DS updated to 9.4.0-9, while the 2DS updated to 9.4.0-15), but the browser crashes after that. Any ideas?

Can this be done with Pokemon Shuffle and Rumble World? I have those folders on old SD card from O3DS, but I want to use the saves on my current N3DS. Or does this only work within the same emuNAND?

You should be able to use SaveDataFiler to transfer the saves. I'm not 100% sure, but you might need to delete the secure value for the saves for those games before you import the extracted saves.

Thank you for the response; once I get a successful raw image copy of my SD card I'll try it out. I can't stand how I know I have the files just sitting there, but I can't figure out how to get them in a usable format!

I'm kinda worried about Shuffle though and it having a client number. I'm not sure if I need to create a new save (I have only just downloaded it again) to create a save that can be overwritten or if I shouldn't and just create [import] the save data with savedatafiler. Maybe it doesn't matter.

Your NNID can only be linked to one console, since you unlinked your NANDs, you basically have "two consoles" running (EmuNAND and SysNAND).

So the answer is no, you can't use the same NNID for both, and it will not link them again (it will give you an error if you try doing that).

Assuming I wanted to do a clean install of cfw again, how would i go about doing it? I imagine the process is simple by just restoring up my nand first with decrypt9 and then formatting the sd card.

I also wanted to use the otp guide by plailect but ran into an issue. It has me use tinyformat in the second section, but i had already used it before during the cfw process. It seemed to just relink my nands assuming thats possible. Is that step only for those who didnt already use tiny format, is there a different use for the second time and i just did something wrong?

I'm simply trying to setup my Gateway on it. Now I do plan on using it as my primary once I get a screwdriver & insert my 16 gig & install the necessary files.

Try but I'm putting it in the 3ds & only reinstalling my Xenoblade Chronicles 3ds & some VCs on it. Besides I don't like halving another sd card for my 2nd 3ds, Im just going to use/keep the 2nd sd card for it since I wont be able to get my only 32 gig back to full compatibility again. Trust me Im happy with the space I have on both cards.

Yeah hopefully can downgrade without being forced to update when going through the browser to access the website. So maybe will wait for a better downgrade since dont want to mess up my N3ds.

I can't get rxtools to work on 8.1 firmware. It freezes during installation or directly after installation. I ahve also tried versions, latest/beta2/beta1/2.5.2 all with no dice.

Ok. So I'm totally out of the loop on everything, and have no idea what the current deal is even after searching around trying to figure out what's what. So here's my current set of equipment:

3DS on 10.1.0-27E
My "primary" unit, has eShop and NNID account linked, used for legit stuff and StreetPass Plaza. Attempted to use browserhax to upgrade for Smash multiplayer without having to upgrade, but I couldn't get HANS to work and think it's had the block thing happen so now I can't browserhax. Also has exploitable version of Ironfall installed. And there's a couple of themes from Club Nintendo which I prefer to use.

My secondary, with a solderless NAND backup board installed from a couple of years back. Got a few backups of older system software lying around on my hard drive. I think I used it to retrieve a Halloween theme a while back, but otherwise haven't even opened the eShop and no NNID linked. Doesn't get used online. Tried using browserhax to also upgrade Smash like the other one, but couldn't get the eShop to actually load up at the time (end of October), it opened but just hung there with an empty screen.

The new acquisition. Only powered it up once or twice to check out what was on it, see how it feels. Otherwise unused. Would like it to become my new primary.

So what are my options here? I heard a little while back that system transfers without updating were possible. Then that downgrading was possible Then... I don't know. I guess ideally I'd like to get all my 3DS data transferred over to the n3DS, with StreetPass and everything intact as well as old version Ironfall. Though if I could somehow duplicate it that'd be neat But yeah, what's the best way to get the n3DS up and running while keeping my future homebrew and region-free options on it as open as possible? I do own a copy of Cubic Ninja which I can use.

Sorry I made it a bit confusing.

I followed an older guide on here, I think in January, and installed everything (CFW with Rxtools) and upgraded Emunand to 9.5

Now I see you can't play online like this anymore. So my question was exactly what do I need to do. The guide I followed changed because newer versions of CFW came out so I don't know specficially which steps I need to follow. Can I just copy the newest Rxtools 3.0 beta 2 and just overwrite files, then use sysupdater to update to 10.6 and then done? No extra files or steps needed?

So I have previously updated my 3ds to 9.2 with sysupdater, now I want to do the same thing to my friends 3ds to get him home menu hax. What is the likelyhood of something going horribly wrong? Keep in mind I just did this to my own so I know the CIA files work, its just the coding of the sysupdater I am worried about.

What is the proper method for updating with sysupdater? I want to go from 8.1 to 9.2. I have the files and everything in place, etc but I want to know, should I update into emunand then flash that to sysnand or just go ahead and update straight into sysnand?

is it safe to power off using the power button so I can redo the process from the start?

apparently holding L + R + Down + B to return to Homebrew Launcher might be the safest thing to do

So this is my current situation, I have a N3DSXL that is on 9.2 with rxtools cfw on emunand 9.2.

I have a O3DS on 9.9 with all my ambassador games and stuff. I want to do the A9HL hack on my N3DS so how would I go about setting it up?

Do I update my emunand to 9.9 > system transfer > do the A9LH hax after or do I downgrade to 2.1 now and do the A9LH hax followed by updating to 9.9 then doing system transfer followed by updating to 10.6 while having the A9LH?

Any help would be great!
