Er is there a way to do it without needing to unlink nands? I hate having to reset up menuhax and all that jazz.
You can, but Idk if it would be safe :/

EDIT: You could use rxTools to inject emuNAND :)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Yeah, though booting isnt very reliable :/ Sometimes it boots to emuNAND, more often than not it sticks here: http://imgur.com/bewEkCZ
Try CTRbootmanager(code.bin), and set the default as rxTools and countdown to 0

i got this problem with all of my pokemon games : 002-0123 "this game card cannot use online features" i have a GW 10.5 and no rxtools, i just buy my o3ds brand new from the shop 10 days ago and never manged to get online so it isnt a banned problem
So some people tell me that i should inject private header, turn my .3ds games into 3dz, but some said this wont work with c2 game like pokemon
Some tell me that i should bought a new SD card and use CIA files, then convert my save to compatible with CIA file and kept playing
Im so confuse right now and need some serious help, badly want to get online in pokemon games :(

If you don't know/want to use private headers, convert your .3ds games to .cia games. CIAs don't use headers so you don't need to do anything :) Just setup a CFW since you're already on <=9.2 :)

Hi, I want to unlink my NANDs without losing anything. I want to do this by formatting sysNAND, since thats likely the easiest to backup.

A lot of people are saying if I backup my sysNAND, reformat sysNAND through the settings, then restore it, my NANDs will unlink and nothing will change, incl. my menuhaxx. However, the part Im not understanding is: what do I use to backup specifically the sysNAND, and what do I do to restore it? I imagine there must be some tool, since my SD card has both my NANDs together, so it can't be a simple c&p job : s

i have a GW 10.5 and emunand, my root FW is 7.1 (people said this one didnt matters) , some said if i convert 3ds to CIA i might as well as ditch my new bought gateway and bought a new SD card , i want the private headers option, but some(again) said it wont work with c2 games like Pokemon XY ORAS

The easy option would be to have a CFW and gateway :) Just CFW to install CIA of those games you can't play online :)

You could create another emuNAND on the same SD(but will take another gb of unallocated space). I think CakesFW has a multiple emuNAND selection feature :) I don't exactly know how this works, but I'm pretty sure there is something like this for gateway and CFW on same SD :)

But here's a guide for using a provate header: http://www.maxconsole.com/maxcon_fo...play-online-TUTORIAL!!!-And-all-things-online

For this you need atleast one bought retail game and you can use the header extracted from that for all your games :)

One bought retail game? you mean one none-hacked money cost game card?

So Im trying to unlink my NANDs and Im running into a weird issue.

I backed up my sysNAND with the GW menu, reformatted sysNAND from system settings, went through the set up, and now Im looking at my Nintendo3DS folder and yet... still only one folder... What gives?

Try TinyFormat to unlink NANDs :)

Since you've already used system format, you'll need to :P If you had used TinyFormat the first time you wouldn't need to

So it turns out when I formatted via system settings, it also formatted my emuNAND '-_- Atleast I only lose a few hours of game saves instead of days. Thought it would only format the sysNAND stuff.

Well, no real point in having anything to back up from I guess, since everything is basically a clean slate... How do I use TinyFormat? All Im finding is the release without how to install it.

edit: So I just checked my Nintendo3DS folder and it has 2 folders now... What the hell. I have no idea why crap is changing unexpectedly, things are formatting each other and folders are going in and out of being one NAND or two NANDs.

Lol your NANDs are still linked, both will be formatted(if you use system format) :P Which is why all guides reccomend to unlink before doing anything

I followed a guide that said once I use the "Format emuNAND" function in GW menu, they become unlinked. I thought they were and acted as if they were, until well, I found out they weren't :P

Right, so... How do I "re-merge" the folders and use TinyFormat while keeping both NANDs intact (or atleast "existent", since I dont really care of keeping their content as they're both empty now :l Menuhax are busted too, but that is less a surprise. Only thing that survived was my rxtools, which is nice tbh.)

Edit: Im about to pass out, but I reformatted with TinyFormat. Before, I had 2 folders in my Nintendo3DS folder, and when i changed the theme on sysNAND, itd change it on emuNAND. I formatted and STILL have 2 folders, but when I change the theme on sysNAND, it does not change on emuNAND. Does this mean I unlinked them? Is there any better way to make sure?

The unwrap bug is also not occuring.

One of the folders is 10MB, the other is 800MB(has 1 game on it.)

Please tell me they're unlinked @[email protected]
