As I told him he will have to be a sitting duck until a new exploit is found or I'll just suggest him to sell that console and get a new one... most of the ones sold on my country have 9.5 out of the box.

well in the usa i had a black o3dsxl and i traded it into gamestop once i updated and my hardmod wouldnt stay soldered in lol they gave me 100$ when i only spend 120 through nintendo. in my specific state we have alot of 2ds,n3dsxls that should be hackable. he could wait but if he wants cias and the like trading it in for another system is just quicker of course. good luck to your friend

then use browserhax to install menuhax

need a cart get the supercard always unless you want the new card. but im old with 3ds stuff i use to use a m3i zero before 4.5

So, I followed a tutorial to put CFW on a N3DS XL, recently downgraded to 9.2. It was a brand new system and maybe I somehow missed it before, but I'm noticing a lot of discolored lines throughout the top screen and games.
I put on reinand and Cakes. Installing everything appeared to be going well. Anyone know what step could have caused it or if it's a hardware issue I overlooked? Question: i've got a n3ds xl with 9.2 sysnand and 10.4 emunand with reinand, is there a decent way to use cheats?
I know GW has support for it, tho i don't know if it's a thing on reinand.

Oh and by the way, i've picked a few CIAs and i've installed them through FBI, i wonder what happens if i try to go online with those games...?

3. goto browser
4. navigate to browserhax url: http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax_auto.php (or snap the QR?)

Is there any way to install game updates on 10.3 OFW? I'm using the access the eshop item from the homebrew package but it won't download the updates but has some error when it tries to.

Was something changed so we can't do this with 10.4 out?

i was going to link for you a thread about the subject of tubehax dns with browserhax but aflack you have the newest post in that thread . . . but many people in that thread still have success even after getting the error message you will have better luck getting help on the matter there

i used EaseUS Partition Master Free - Free Partition Magic ... but any program that will let you partition drives should work
i have even heard people speak of using a cmd prompt to do it
you need to format it to fat32

This is more of Homebrew related question rather then CFW, but there no Noob thread there and I have a feeling there a simple solution that doesn't require a new thread.

SVDT/pchex,pchex++, hans all require to select a title via left/right button, and is simple for those with cartridges.
However, with increasing digitial games via eshop (and CIA from recent downgrade to be honest), it getting hard to select the file I want via pressing left/right.
Is there a way to select the game for those homebrew via a gridlayout?

I have an o3DS whose sysNAND is currently version 4.2.0-9U, using rxTools. I can use the browser to access any random website, but when I try to go to my bookmark, http://dukesrg.github.io/?rxTools/sys/code.bin, it loads the page, and rather than crashing to emuNAND, I get this error:

"An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software currently in use, then restart the system."

Following that, I'm booted back out into sysNAND. I tried the DNS thing, to no avail. Help? I've not installed menuhax or themehax or anything like that yet, since browserhax was working for me and I'd only installed rxTools fairly recently.

I have a new 3ds XL with RXtools emunand firmware 9.2 installed so i can install and load my games from the homescreen.

So i wanted to play with some amiibo, unfortunately it appears 9.2 firmware doesnt support amiibo.

Is there a way to upgrade to a custom firmware that supports amiibo? How would i do this?

Otherwise is there a way to get NFC support on my current firmware? or is there a better way to get this?

Go into your browser settings and select "Initialize Save Data" and try again. Alternatively, if that doesn't work, you could just use menuhax to access it offline.

Yes, but it requires a hardmod to do so. If you're going to hardmod your 3DS, you should hard mod it before downgrading. That way, you can have a NAND backup in case anything goes wrong during the downgrade.
