I'm pretty sure it what inside the Nintendo 3DS folder that important, since there should be folder with random numbers/letter. The old you is your emunand while your new one is your sysnand.but i can put my old nintendo 3ds folder on the sd and delete the new one?
You should've had these on your sd card before formatting your emunandbut i can put my old nintendo 3ds folder on the sd and delete the new one?
hmm i dont understand why its not going back to sysnandto clarify things up:
i have an old folder and a new folder. while formating emunand i had the old on my sd card, after it was finished i had both. [didn´t delete one)
now i´ve put the old folder to the sd card, run cakes via browser [already installed it before] at checked the use emunand option. so what now? i still can´t swich between 2 fw i guess, because in setting the fw name or whatever don´t change.
just compared both folders, seems like they have the same key thingy. the only different is that on the old folder theres another key (but it contains only 5MB) and a private folder.
yeah, because there are all my games actually. and as you said, the key is the same. i still have the new one thoughDid you copy and replace your old folder to your sd card?

Need some info in this format.to clarify things up:

I think thats the problem you replaced the folder. which you shoudn't have.yeah, because there are all my games actually. and as you said, the key is the same. i still have the new one though
I'm a bit confused on the old folder. why does it have 3 different keys?new folder -> key 1 -> key2-> extdata folder
old older -> key 1 -> key 3 -> extdata/dbs/backup title folder
_________ -> key 4 -> key 3 -> extdata folder
Wait, then why did you say key 1 was in both old and new? Remember this is right inside Nintendo 3DS, not inside the following folder.edit: thata what it looks like. and both keys have a third key when you klick them
You have to set things up again due to the Nand.This is a really dumb question, I know, but if I were to get a new SD card and copy all of my files onto it, would I be able to pick up where I left off or would I have to set everything up again?
How come on your older backup there are to keys? There is only meant one key. I recommend you do it all again.Left is new and right old.
Think so too. So just format Emunand, install CFW right after it and then get my games somehow?How come on your older backup there are to keys? There is only meant one key. I recommend you do it all again.
Yes just in case keep your other backups somewhere else.Think so too. So just format Emunand, install CFW right after it and then get my games somehow?
In order to transfer all of your data onto a new sd card, you will need to backup your nand and all of the folders on your sd card and then you will need to inject your nand on your new sd card and copy all of the files to your new sd card.This is a really dumb question, I know, but if I were to get a new SD card and copy all of my files onto it, would I be able to pick up where I left off or would I have to set everything up again?
