Yes, it will ask you to create another. But I don't think you can just magically change your E-Shop region like that.
So every emunand is technically treated as its own DS system? Or is the nintendo id linked to the hardware itself. I read from nintendo that to register, I need to unbind the system from my current nid. Just wondering if instead flashing fresh emunand can get that done as well.

Is backing up nand / using emunand safe? Just read someone else in a forum that after 1 month and half of using 3dslink + emu nand suddenly he gets blue screen on his 3ds xl and someon said it was a problem with emu nand hooks that made real nand corrupted or something like that , the OP said he didn't do any kind of drop or damage to his 3ds xl.... so I'm starting to wonder if it was some other problem or emu nand is not that safe :S

That wasn't the case for me, I had to re-do my Emunand and it asked me to either make a new account, or login. I logged in with my previous one, so I have no idea if registering a new account would have worked. I don't think Nintendo counts on people being able to downgrade like that, so it's worth a shot.

I guess my question got lost in the discussions on the other thread, so here is is again:

Short version: Do eshop DSi games work on emunand? (running R4i gold deluxe)

Long version: i picked up Shantae 2 from the eshop, and whenever I try to run it on emunand, the screen goes black indefinitely. Using an r4i deluxe btw.

All my other 3ds eshop games work fine. Any ideas?

DS mode software doesn't run in emuNAND, so no DSi ware, VC or DS cartridges (be it DS flashcarts or DS retail games).

Is it possible to extract files (such as photos) from the EmuNand onto a computer? I know it's possible to backup the emunand as a BIN file, but not sure on if the files within can be accessed.
NAND decryption is as of yet not possible for endusers.
In regard to photos: you can move them to the SD card (where they are saved by default nevertheless unless you changed it), where they are saved in the DCIM folder.

Damn. I wish that was made abundantly clear in the user guide. Wouldn't have wasted $30. There's no way to have it show up on the sysnand somehow?

My R4 deluxe arrived today. If something goes wrong with my 3DS and need to send it to Nintendo for repairs am I able to eliminate every trace of it off the console?

No way as of yet, sorry.

Hard to tell. The only traces should be the DS profile (the exploit data in the NVRAM) and to a way less evidential degree the play history in the activity log on sysnand (I ramped up 800+ hours in system settings now, I must really love it ;)). The NVRAM profile gets cleared when starting a DS cartridge (retail or flash cart), the activity log with a system format.

There might be other traces, and you wouldn't be able to remove anything if the 3DS bricks anyway. So in the end we'll have to wait if some reports come in akin to the "Softmoded Wii repair is 280$" fiasco.

Just to be safe I'll wait until I get a working NAND dump.
