just can't play the hacked ROM.

Enable "game patching" in Luma3DS. The mod files are copied to the luma folder. It should work for you now.

It's seem the one did the hack done all things follow the guide and format/ clean up the SD card.

🤷🏻‍♂️ Not sure what to tell you.. If you don't have GodMode9 and the 3ds folder (with the homebrew files) on your sdcard, along with a nand backup (important). Then you should do the Finalizing setup..

should I delete the Luma folder which I copied from the hacked ROM and create a new, blank one ?

No, just leave it as is. Though you should have atleast GodMode9.firm in the : sd:/luma/payloads folder..

it did't work haha, I done this already after I copied the Luma folder to SD card, and the game still normal version )
I will try the Finalizing setup on tomorrow, but that doesn't seem will help my problem with this ROM

Are you sure you have the hack files in the luma folder? I would open both the extracted zip folder and check with the one on the Luma folder, see if all files are there.
Next, it says in the pic you posted that ot needs the game update to be installed, otherwise the hack wouldn't work. Do you have it installed?

I copied that Luma folder directly from the ROM so I think the hack should be there, and yes, I updated to 1.2 already.

hey guys i was using a asve editor for tomodachi i was about to restore then i got an error then i got cursed name files there is still a file named (à )and i cannot delete that file have someone feel this one day if you know to solve how? thanks!

Can you in any way check the hash of the save file in the save editor? It could be corrupted in some way.
Also, was your sd card tested for errors with h2testw?
You could try with Checkpoint..

Update TWilightMenu++ to the latest version. Also, this is the official TWilightMenu++ thread, so ask there if you encounter any issues..

I would suggest redoing the Finalizing process from the guide here, to set up the essential homebrew apps that a cfw'ed system needs in order to function.

So, I'm doing the Finalizing process but got stuck with Section III - Homebrew Launcher, I done all the step but when I launched the Download Play application again as step 10, it gave me error message.

And for Section VIII - Backup Essential Files, i done all the steps there but no back up folder show up in SD card (

Could you help me to fix this ?

Do this! 👇 The sd card is probably failing and giving you these errors..

Though i would still check it for errors with h2testw, since it's a 4gb card, it's got to be atleast a decade old by now and could be dying..

Redownload and replace the .3dsx file of the Homebrew Launcher and try again.

I download and copy the boot.firm and .3dsx file to SD card, now not only the Homebrew Launcher work fine, the hack ROM work too .
It's seem that the problem is the boot.firm, it's not in the SD card before. Just wonder that how I still can do the "enable game patch" step without it in SD card =))
I'll deal with the backup folder later :v

the game launches fine without or with the dlc(except you have to go throught dlc not recognized error message from the image I attached previously with the dlc installed), I finished the game once a few years ago already. I wanted to replay it with dlc this time. I have tried installing the update, not very sure how I can confirm the update installed correctly. It does say Version 1.1 after installing the update in the corner of the bottom screen of the start screen whereas before it was empty. I will try out installing the update from a different source. (edit, it still does not work)

Yes the luma3ds locale switcher didn't seem to fix the problem

Do you think system version has anything to do with it? I'm still on 11.8.0, just updated luma though.

Just wanted to say I fixed the problem, I think the lumalocaleswitcher on my 3ds is not working properly. I manually wrote the locale.txt files for the dlc and game and now it works.

I believe that's caused by SD card formatting, if it's 128 GB or smaller reformat as the guide says (note the 64 KB clusters on 128, that's important), if it's anything larger than that I don't think that issue is fixable... Either get a smaller SD or play GBA games a different way.

Yep - switched to 64KB Clusters and problem is solved.

New here, want to get Eshop games and stuff since I don't have the money to get everything I want.

With proper hacking I can download anything from the Eshop after fund adding and other features are ceased officially correct? And also will I be able to download game dlc from their in-game Eshop "links"?

Also would like help on how to begin modding if possible. I uhh don't really know where to start after a quick look-see of these threads for the 3DS. I have a US 3DS.

I specifically only want to download titles/apps from the Eshop after they can no longer be purchased and funds cannot be added, I have no interest in anything else I just want those games, dlc if doable, and maybe some themes.

If you own this game/dlc, yes.
But as of now, since the latest update (11.16.0) rolled out today, a user here said he couldn't add his Nintendo eShop card, so if you haven't added funds to your account already before today, then maybe you are out of luck.

Also would like help on how to begin modding if possible.

Update to the latest firmware, then follow the guide here.
