My friend had downloaded some .CIA GBA virtual console games using FBI on his 3DS. He asks if he can get banned if he uses them with internet on?
There's always the risk but no, it's not a big red flag. I do it, but I don't particularly care about bans.My friend had downloaded some .CIA GBA virtual console games using FBI on his 3DS. He asks if he can get banned if he uses them with internet on?
If they're injects (not originally available on the eShop) I wouldn't. If they're originally available the eShop it is fine.My friend had downloaded some .CIA GBA virtual console games using FBI on his 3DS. He asks if he can get banned if he uses them with internet on?
Yes, unless for some reason you absolutely don't want to be online. In that case use hydroseed.is it safe to use fbi to import seed to a cia i downloaded from my pc? (it was from villan3ds)
If you mean that it's not showing your installed games, it's because it only shows the games you have saves for.Does somebody know why Checkpoint is not showing all my savegames? In fact, it's only showing the first two rows.
That's the weird thing, I have saves for all my games but only seventeen of them appear (counting the one in slot 1) in the main page and 21 if I press X. The GBA games are missing from both, and Pokémon Yellow and Crystal data appear on the main page but not the other one.If you mean that it's not showing your installed games, it's because it only shows the games you have saves for.

Using .cias is easier than using an emulator, in my opinion, as the 3DS can run those GBA roms natively already. It also looks nicer t ohave your games on Home Menu. Thanks for answering. It kind of sucks that Checkpoint doesn't work with GBA games, is there any alternative to Checkpoint that works with them? Or should I get an emulator for GBA?
eShop is safe, as you don't have to own (or even have) the game to download updates. freeShop still works for updates, and you could also search for updates as a .cia.whats a safe way (i mean from getting banned) to update games i downloaded as cia?
No, you'd have to do a system transfer because encryption is different. Can i use the same sd with the same files in another hacked 3ds and just "plug and play" my downloaded games?
For example, i have my hacked 3ds, it broke, i buy a new one and hack it, can i just give it the old sd?
Hello, I installed CFW in my console using the Seedminer method. It's been working fine for a week now, I think. Today I pulled out the SD Card (console off, of course), to paste a couple games inside. When I put it back inside the console, it turns on but I have no CFW icons at all, it's like it's not hacked. I can go into GodMode9 by pressing Start and Power, and it does detect the SD Card and all its content. What's happening?
No you need to redo the B9S & Luma installation on the newer 3DSCan i use the same sd with the same files in another hacked 3ds and just "plug and play" my downloaded games?

Did you have an EmuNAND? Did you replace the Nintendo 3DS folder?
If it's just homebrew that went missing, you could just follow the finalizing setup section of the guide.
Make sure your SD card is formatted as FAT 32 with 32kb of cluster size. You can use guiformat for this. Also check for errors using H2testw.
I haven't touched anything other than my games folders. It is indeed formatted to FAT32 and it's got a cluster size of 32KB. As I said, I've been playing games and stuff for a week, and I can plug the SD inside the PC, I can see its content, etc., so I don't think the SD is malfunctioning
