Hmm... the only thing I can think of is either an outdated boot.3dsx or your SD card is corrupted somehow. If you have a spare, try freshly downloading boot.firm from Luma 9.0 and boot.3dsx from the guide (don't copy a pre-existing version from your computer or the SD card) and having just those on your SD card, see if that helps?

Thank you so much! I'm not sure why but reinstalling boot.firm and boot.3dsx seems to have worked.

2) Yes freeShop games are installed so no worries there
3) Back up your tickets, do a system transfer, then reinstall the tickets. If all the games are from freeShop you can just do a system transfer and then run tikShop (there's a QR code on reddit to install by FBI) on the target console to make the games appear.

Afternoon, everybody.
Kinda dumb questions ahead, but I need to clarify a few things.
I've decided that it is finally time to move to CFW, since 3ds is alive, but we all know where it is going now. But there are a few points, which are stopping me.
1) I've read the guide thoroughly, entered troubleshooting section and got so scared of getting a brick (with my luck I know what I'm talking about) so now I can't even convince myself to do it. What are the chances to get bricked?
2) I know I need a flash cartridge in order to do the trick ,how will I know that I flashed my flashcard successfully?
3) Will my NNID be there? I have a few eshop games, which I've purchased and I want to keep them
4) I know, in order not to get a ban you should be careful with online. I'm not planning to go online at all with those unlicensed stuff, but what about licensed games? I have a few of them and I want to play online legally. no cheating. just fresh experience and everything. I've heard that ban is curable and the only thing you wouldn't be able to do is online multiplayer, but I really want to keep that feature. Personal reasons.

EDIT: Solved! Solution: Put the gm9 folder from the GodMode9 zip back on the SD card.
Hey all, i recently hacked my 3DS with "Seedminer - EASY MODE (if ur noob and/or have crap PC, do this)" (sorry - I cant post links right now because i'm a newbie here - just google search it) It worked perfectly, but after screwing around with FreeShop I corrupted my SD card (I don't know how). Note that my 3DS does not boot into the normal OS anymore (GodMode9 still works, not sure what else works.) So I put my NAND backup I made in Section VII - Backup Essential Files (from 3DShacksguide) back on the SD card. Now I boot into GodMode9, begin trying to restore the backup with instructions from "GodMode9 Usage" (from 3ds.hacks.guide), then realize that I don't have any scripts to restore the backup because I wiped the SD card.

So, i'm kind of in a stuck spot right now because I don't know how to get the restore script back on GodMode9.

Any help please?

The first console is still hacked. You can restore the NAND backup you made pre-transfer and put the SD card contents back on and it will be like it was before (sans NNID).

1. Yes
2. If you use an N3DS you can use microSD management in the Settings and for both old and new you can use an FTP homebrew. I think it is more effort than taking the SD out personally but it is up to you.
3. If you followed the guide when it said to turn off spotpass etc you're fine.

If your 3DS XL has an NNID then you'll have to format it so you'll lose the games (until you format it again, sign into the NNID and redownload them from the eShop). If the 3DS XL does not have an NNID, you can hack it using DSiWare hax which involves a transfer, then you can run tikShop on it after the transfer and after installing CFW and you'll have the freeShop games and the bought games.

You can hack it, but you'd have to format it before transfer. If it is 11.2 you can just use SoundHax and then install freeShop and download the games.

im absolutly baffled at the moment, im trying to update my LUMA installation from 7.1-c73fec4 to 9.0.x(whatever the most recent is) and update my B9S installation

currently i cannot access Luma Chainloader (i have 2 Payloads enabled) heck i have Godmode 9 set up as x_godmode9.firm and when i hold down x it still boots to the normal userspace...i haven't used my 3ds in forever and im 99.9% sure i updated to B9S, as my luma updater is reading as having SIGHACK and payload path as /Boot.firm

everything is in its place according to 3ds.guide and everything, this is the first time i've ever had issues like this, any help would be apreciated

edit : i managed to get it to work by deleting boot.firm and boot.3dsx off the root of my 3ds and putting a fresh boot.firm from luma 7.1 on my SD card...then chainloader started to work properly...and im sittling here like what the fuck
