After flashing my R4i GOLD for ntrboot, do i still need the sd on it? The SD has 3 files called "__rpg", "_DS_MENU.DAT" and "ds_ntrboot_flasher_dsi.nds".

Would still work for ntrboot whitouth it?

Yes I do now have it on the system sd card and still not working.

boot.firm
boot9strap folder (containing boot9strap.firm and firm.sha
3DS root folder

Could this be because I inject wrong file or is it universal? Also could it be due to the flash cart?

Seems my 3ds isnt reading SD cards anymore, trying to sort now.

Yes, ntrboot works without sd.

Thanks for your help earlier, my 3ds doesnt seem to like my SKY card sd card. Ive put this on the original 4gb 3ds card for now. It working.

If I upgrade my card tomorrow is it as simple as copying all the files to my new card or is there anything else I need to do?

My system is currently running 11.6. Do I absolutely need a second system or is there a work around? I do have a second system, but it's not of the same region. Is there a work around that I am missing for the guide?

I recently modded my 3DS to be able to capture footage with my PC. I've used Snickerstream, Kit-Kat, and NTR Viewer.

Worked great on the first few days, getting anywhere between 25-40 FPS. Recently, however, I'm lucky to get even 10 till eventually it stops between 0 and a whopping 1 FPS. Why? I don't recall changing anything that would affect it.

You can use ntrboot, just needs a DS flashcart which is around $10. https://3ds.guide/ntrboot

Then this should be the only time they are deleting something off their SD card, right?

1. Delete boot.firm from the root of your SD card
2. Copy boot.firm from the Luma3DS .7z to the root of your SD card

I have a backup folder on my desk top from before I updated my cfw that contains my original files but I'm hesitant to replace everything because I would lose all of my games that I got using ciangel & freeshop

We can't help you very well if you followed a video guide sorry. Unless you can give us your actual symptoms and what you did in detail, not just "doesn't work".

Yes, just copy-paste and make sure the new card is formatted as fat32.

If a 32gb micro sd card is in hc format what do we select when we're using godmode9 or does it not need to be formatted at all ?

It should be fat32 already, but you can format it first with no emunand and 32k clusters if you want to make sure.

I see so if the format is hc it already is fat32 I currently have no plans to use a emunand since I can play games from other regions due to my cfw but if I were to backup they games I downloaded where would the be located ? In fbi in the part with nnid I can't help but notice a seed file would it be possible to use that to link games we download with an overlay code similar to the unban method I'm new to this so I just thought I'd ask

The method used to hack the 3ds makes no difference in outcome, so you might as well hack it with soundhax now and then get a flashcard for ds games.
