You just replace the .firm from the latest GM9 release with the one in your luma/payloads folder. That's it.

You don't install it. You just simply copy and paste the file (overwriting your previous GM9 .firm file), then launch GM9 through Luma3DS's payload chainloader. That's it.

Hi!

I have a xx.sav file from a 3ds and i want to inject it to another 3ds but it say save data corrupted (super mario 3d land) i tried with JK's save manager too with no luck. Can som1 help me how i can get it to work? Thx. (No NNID was linked both times)

You need it in the console it was originally made in (if it is a normal save that went inside the Nintendo 3DS folder), with the game installed, to use JKSM (saves are encrypted per console). If it came from Gateway or Sky3DS you will need that cartridge with the rom in it to be able to back up the save with JKSM (https://gbatemp.net/threads/importing-gateway-saves-to-cia-games.425743/)

I just copied to an SD card from the nintendo 3ds folder and i don't have the original console. Can i do something then? No gateway or sky3ds used. It was an installed cia.

Without the original console, or the NAND backup + xorpads, you can't do anything. I could be wrong though so check back here and see if I get corrected.

There's a thread around called decrypting a NAND backup without xorpads. You can have a look, but I don't think there will be a solution. Sorry!

I don't know the technical reason either, but boot9strap/sighax only supports firm and I think it's overall better and more versatile format. bin files can easily be converted to firm.

I formatted my system( 2DS, 7.1 Luma) and when I try to download Fiedrunners again from eShop it says it is not available
That is why I want to create a .cia file for this game which I legally bought in the summer. I believe the ticket stills exists because I can see it in my redownloadable list
By using GodMode9, which of the 2 options do I choose for the .tmd file?
Build Cia (standard) or Build Cia (legit)?

It loads cfw earlier into the boot. It allows us access to the bootroms and otp. For the basic user this probably doesn't mean a lot, but you can maybe notice a tiny bit faster boot.
