there are three options. To install normal version, install latest hourly, and restore backup. What one do i pick?

If you don't know, then normal.

Just do what the note says and you'll be fine or just wait for the next update to the LumaUpdater.

I can't really do what the note says since there's no lumaupdater.cfg in the sd card :/ thanks though

It deletes arm9loaderhax.bin and restores arm9loaderhax.bin.bak to arm9loaderhax.bin. I imagine it does the same thing to boot.firm(.bak).

The new Luma version doesn't support a9lh. You should update to boot9strap: https://3ds.guide/updating-to-boot9strap

If you did indeed follow 3ds.guide and have successfully installed a9lh, go ahead and update your system.

so I installed A9LH a whole while ago and did not update since. My system is definitely under 11.3 or 11.4. Am I in any danger if I do? Or can I update and do the whole bootstrap thing later? I think it could be more complicated, because I want to keep Gateway in EmuNand, which won't work with bootstrap that easy (or at all).

And when do I have to update Luma?

Just want to have a quick look into Fire Emblem Echoes.

People say it's working. Just make sure you're using NTR selector and latest ntr.bin.

Can't you just use Luma LayeredFS for cheats? NTR should work also.

With hacked files. A LOT less work with NTR. Also that's not what LayeredFS is really for.
