Yes, it's always safe to update your console with a9lh installed and a good CFW, just don't forget to update Luma3DS via the Luma3DS Updater before any update, but yeah, you can update.

And now that you just installed it you don't need to update Luma. Only in the future.

Hey, I need some help.
I followed the guide at https://3ds.guide/ using my Old 3DS on 8.1.0-19U, and it worked... mostly.
After I was done with the guide I was left with four black icons on my home menu that seem to lead to individual settings functions, how do I make these go away?
Every time I exit a homebrew app (FBI, the Homebrew Launcher, etc) my 3DS freezes for a moment then pops up "An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software currently in use, then restart the system."
Every time I launch the Homebrew Launcher I get the error "Failed to download the actual payload with HTTP: 0xd8a0a039. If the server isn't down...[etc]"
And finally, every time a try to use the Luma3DS Updater it simply gets stuck on that 3DS loading screen that it shares with the Settings app and never actually loads.

Any ideas?

Hello again. I have a super noob question. I have my new 3ds xl with arm9loaderhax and luma. All updated to the latest version. Is there any way, without losing the homebrew, to start the console as it was without any hack on it? Thank you guys <3

If you install the Kecleon patch then you can choose to not let it load payloads. So it will behave as stock (except homebrew cias and pirated games will still work)

I use the NTR version
with 3D Banner and it was working fine

it was working just fine and use cheats without any problem but after updating it shows this massage , tried version 3.1 NTR wont work

Hey, I'm on step 4 for the whatever the serial number is.nand.bin, however, all I see is whatever the serial number is.nand.bin.sha. I look every for how to get the bin, but, I didn't find anything for it. Maybe you can help me?

It will not. You'll make and restore a backup in the guide. If everything goes according to the plan, you'll end up with everything you had when beginning.

Nothing I think, I already did from a non-cfw o3ds to a cfw n3ds, so I think that's the same

You sure because I thought that you can't transfer the emuNAND with the system settings transfer to a 3ds without cfw

If it's an emuNAND I'm not sure, but why not install cfw on your o3ds xl ?

If I were to put cfw on my o3ds xl then I would be able to transfer easily without any data loss?
Hmm I would do that but ill have to find the time to do that and I don't wanna risk it again but if that is my only choice, I might as well do it although my goal is just to get my saves, friends and NNID.
