But it says Cannot display the software on the sd card. The sd card could not be accessed.

Something like "Failed to mount CTRNAND" ?
If so, then yes, it's normal, just follow the rest of the guide

Just update, having a NNID doesnt affect in nothing (unless you're cheating)

There should have no problems

No, if I load up the normal game, it works just fine. It does not work with rom hacks.
ROM Hacks have never worked for me.
