Thanks man, i appreciate it. Since im back into the 3ds menu, do i start installing arm9loaderhax like normal or do i need to change some stuff. Couldnt find it on the troubleshoot page.
Whatever do you mean? You already installed A9LH on 2.1. Just follow the guide. After installing A9LH you configured Luma (can easily be re-configured by holding select when booting), then you restore your NAND back to 9.2 with Hourglass9, THEN you update from system settings to 11.2. It's all in the guide though .. just follow it normally. There's nothing to troubleshoot here, everything that has happened so far is what was supposed to happen as indicated by the guide. Just read the guide.

I'm thinking of using this guide to hack my 'new' 3DS on 11.2.0.
am I right in thinking that this is the best fool proof way to hack your 3DS ? and also I believe it gives me access to downgrade and backup up the emunand and then upgrade again ? which I believe is what you need to play emulation.
I hacked my WII and the process seems fairly similar, Im confident I can do the process but just wondering if its the correct route (Which I think so but just want any thoughts from you guys)
The ideal scenario for me is to get Sega Mastersystem/Megadrive (32x?) and game gear emu's and more importantly Neo Geo, Snes and PC-Engine CD Roms as well as some CPS1/2 system games.
I don't know anything about running emulators on 3DS as I am not interested, but emuNAND and emulators are two completely different things. Forget emuNAND, it is outdated and not used anymore. You can follow the guide you linked yes, but that guide never tells you to install emuNAND in the first place anyway.
emuNAND is sysNAND; but emulated, running off your SD card. Which means if you fuck something up, it is within emuNAND, so your system is still safe and sound. But now with A9LH+Luma emuNAND isn't needed anyways as there are so many ways to restore your system if you fuck up something.
Follow the guide from start to finish, which will then result in your N3DS having A9LH+luma, which in turn means that you can install and run homebrew on your console; including emulators of course. The guide is "fool-proof" if you have the ability to comprehend written text, but know that when it comes to hacking, even if you follow the guide word by word there is still a chance to brick .. Nothing is 100% guaranteed and safe.
Hey brother have u taken a look at my thread? I posted it as a comment on your profile. Give me a hand here brother plz.
What does this have to do with hacking 3DS? Go back to your Wii subforum and wait patiently for help. Stalking members in other sections of the forums is only going to make them less inclined to help you.
